Is Leather Biodegradable and Eco-Friendly?

Have you ever thought about how much information we have about the things we consume every day? Or how much thought energy we contribute to something before we buy it? The truth is we are actually surrounded by things that we don’t know much about. And it’s not just that we don’t know much about them, we also don’t consider that if we knew more about them we would think differently before buying them.

In short, everyone cares about our beloved planet earth. And every so often or all the time we will take minor actions to protect it or educate others about it. Maybe we see someone throw some trash on the ground and after they walk away we proceed to pick it up and dispose of it correctly. The same goes for buying things. Many people consider our planet and it's safety in many different ways and they insist on buying things that are strictly eco-friendly or biodegradable. Biodegradable means that a substance, material or object is capable of being decomposed by mold, bacteria or other living organisms and thereby avoiding pollution to the planet.

When it comes to buying a synthetic leather bag or a real leather bag the same issue applies. Throwing away a synthetic leather bag would be the same as throwing some few plastic bottles, and the amount of time it would take for the earth to decompose of this substance, well scientists don't live long enough to produce an accurate number.

So consider the contribution you can make before buying a synthetic material made bag. You can make a small difference and at the same time enjoy the profound vintage beauty of a real leather bag, so why not Go green in style.
