Does Crazy Horse Leather Come from Horses?

We have had some customers inquire about what crazy horse leather is. Why is crazy horse leather called crazy horse leather. And does it actually come from horses. So we have taken the liberty to answer a few of these question.

Crazy horse leather comes from cows. That is fact. Although, there is a moderate amount of actual horsehide used in place of cowhide. You will find that with every type of leather from processed from cowhide, about 10% of it came from horsehide. This is mainly because, cowhide and horsehide share somewhat of the same natural qualities. And so, they can easily be mixed together in the same tanning process, thus producing the same finished leather products. But to the contrary, crazy horse leather does very much come from cows.
